A Review of Literature on Parenting Styles, Parental Competence and Emotional Intelligence among College Students

Parenting styles and competence predict many aspects of the children’s well-being. Studies indicate thatparents present first learning environment for their children before joining schools, that impactsthey have to may influence up college level. Although studies beenconducted on impacts parenting style parental emotional intelligence, majorityof these are mainly in context Western or Asian countries little, none Nigeria,particularly, urban area Anambra State. Therefore, general objective study is conceptualizethe relationships intelligence students inurban state, Nigeria.
